Job Description / Duties

As the Coordinator, Volunteer Resources, of a multi-disciplinary team, you will recruit and coordinate volunteers while providing ongoing support, supervision and evaluations of volunteers at Queen Alexandra Centre for Children’s Health in Victoria.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Along with your Post-secondary certificate in Volunteer Management, you have at least three years related experience managing volunteers, preferably in a healthcare setting. Membership with the Administrators of Volunteer Resources BC (AVRBC) is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

- Demonstrated administrative and supervisory skills
- Demonstrated human resource coordination skills
- Demonstrated communication and public relations skills
- Demonstrated public speaking and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated familiarity with the community and its resources
- Demonstrated experience as a volunteer
- Individual leadership and appropriate interpersonal skills
- Computer and technological skills
- Experience in coordination of special events relevant to volunteerism
- Conflict management skills

Salary: $43,894.50 - $57,603.00
