Job Description / Duties

Never has there been a more exciting time to join Girl Guides of Canada (GGC)! Under the direction of a passionate and inspirational CEO, the organization is embarking on dramatic revitalization. As Director, Member Relations, this is your opportunity to partner with her to define and shape a Member Relations strategy that aligns with the GGC value proposition - “All She Can Be” - ensuring that our 20,000 volunteers and 74,000 girls across the country are provided with an exceptional experience.

Girl Guides of Canada–Guides du Canada is the leading member organization for girls encouraging personal development and leadership. Through challenging and stimulating opportunities we fulfill our Mission to enable girls to be confident, resourceful and courageous, and to make a difference in the world.

You will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of a national membership growth strategy, working collaboratively with volunteers, staff and other stakeholders to achieve growth targets and realize “Vision 2025”. Your team will orchestrate all touch points with our members - from recruitment, initial inquiry and registration screening, to training and development, activity risk management, communication and recognition initiatives designed to develop and implement growth strategies. The mandate will be to attract and retain members – both girls and volunteers - who are engaged and committed to our vision and mission and reflect the diversity in the communities of Canadian girls that are served.

We are looking for thought leaders who possess deep insight into the drivers for success when cultivating, developing and retaining volunteers and members; who have led and motivated staff and volunteers to deliver on a common vision; and have collaborated on leadership teams to promote innovation and facilitate change. Engaging and leveraging the creativity and commitment of our volunteers will be an important ingredient in your success, along with your proven ability to build exceptional relationships.
