Category: OtherIsland Health is looking for an energetic and experienced part-time Coordinator, Volunteer Resources that has been successful organizing and coordinating volunteers in various programs that contribute to the benefits and services offered to Island Health clients.
Role Summary
As the Coordinator, Volunteer Resources, of a multi-disciplinary team, you will recruit and coordinate volunteers while providing ongoing support, supervision and evaluations of volunteers.
Qualifications:
You will have at least three years’ related experience managing volunteers, preferably in a healthcare setting. Training in Volunteer Management preferred. Membership with the Administrators of Volunteer Resources BC (AVRBC) is considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

•Demonstrated public speaking and facilitation skills
•Demonstrated familiarity with the community and its resources
•Demonstrated experience as a volunteer
•Individual leadership and appropriate interpersonal skills
•Computer and technological skills
•Experience in coordination of special events relevant to volunteerism
•Conflict management skills
