Job Description / Duties

To maintain the volunteer management program in the seven Regions of Special Olympics Manitoba.

Manage the volunteer recruitment, placement, retention, and recognition aspects of the volunteer management program.

Support volunteers through the application process and provide direction to volunteers at events.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Education/Training Required:
 Undergraduate degree or related volunteer management training.
 CVA Certification or Volunteer Management Certificate

Specific Skills:
 Exceptional planning, organizational and leadership skills
 Ability to empower and motivate others
 Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
 Strong written and interpersonal skills
 Experience and knowledge of computers
 Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends
 Must have a valid driver’s licence
