Job Description / Duties

The Crisis Centre of BC is seeking a Better Impact expert to support our Manager of Volunteers in implementing Better Impact in our volunteer management program.

Contract Deliverables for Distress Services Program

• Quality check transfer of volunteer information into Better Impact and troubleshoot as necessary
• Set up Volunteer Intake process and reporting capability to track number of applications, number of applicants attended information session, number of applicants who attempted scenario screening, number of applicants who attended interview and got accepted into Basic Training.
• Implement advance scheduling for crisis responder volunteer shifts.
• Set up process to track volunteer hours and milestones, overnight sign ups, notifications/customized emails and/or texts for coverage needs, appreciation emails/notifications when volunteers complete milestone hours.
• Implement advance scheduling and tracking systems within Better Impact for training support volunteer shifts.
• Set up reporting capability for ongoing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual schedule status reports.
• Set up volunteer performance management tracking and reporting.
• Co-create a Better Impact operations manual for DS Services program with the Volunteer Manager
• Coaching support for Crisis Centre staff in managing volunteers using Better Impact throughout the Volunteer Management Cycle.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Experience and skill with Better Impact Volunteer Management System.

The Crisis Centre engages over 250 volunteers as crisis line responders, training support, community workshop facilitators, administrative assistants, and special project coordinators. We bring 130 new volunteers to the Distress Services Program each year onto the crisis phone and chat services.
