This is a Temporary, Part-time position.
Category: ManagementThis position is responsible for volunteer engagement and coordination for the Agency in the City of Guelph and County of Wellington. This position will also serve as a liaison between staff and volunteers to support effective and strategic volunteer involvement within the Agency.
University degree or College Diploma from a relevant field and preferably a diploma in volunteer management from a recognized Community College;
Volunteer management work experience, with preference working in a non-profit or charitable organization;
Experience working with volunteers and individuals with diverse backgrounds;
Experience working with vulnerable people, ideally children, youth and families;
Skilled and experienced in recruitment, screening, interviewing, training, supporting and retention of volunteers;
Excellent organizational, time management skills and ability to work alone;
Knowledge and skills in program planning and evaluation;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a diverse population;
Must be able to function in the organization teamwork philosophy;
Demonstrated personal commitment consistent with the Agency Mission/Vision/Values and strategic direction.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
Competency in the use of relevant software programs related to volunteer management.
Salary: 35,000-45,000 yearly
