Job Description / Duties

Reporting to the Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Volunteer Services, the successful candidate is responsible for all Volunteer Services activities. This person is responsible for the planning, organization, management and evaluation of the department’s activities for their zone based on clients’ needs.

This person also represents the department at various levels and serves as the official liaison with partners working in this sector. This person will also help maintain a positive view of volunteers within the health care field.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications / Required Skills

Undergraduate university degree in administration or another health field that is relevant or any other combination of experience and training deemed relevant;

Three years’ experience in managing or supervising staff;

Experience in managing a volunteer organization considered an asset;

Practical experience in the health field or a related field considered an asset;

Good management skills;

Leadership and ability to mobilize/engage others toward achieving a common objective;

Ability to act as a change agent;

Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

Ability to build good relations with internal and external clients;

Good judgment, problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities;

Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;

Weekly travel to the Péninsule acadienne required;

Ability to work in a team and independently;

Physical ability to do the assigned work;

Good previous work record (performance and attendance);

Adherence to the principles of professional ethics, the management philosophy of the Network and organizational values;

Respect for the confidentiality rules of the Vitalité Health Network.

Additional Information

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.

Salary: $53.776 to $74.776 per year
