Category: ManagementBlack CAP is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to strengthen its volunteer program. The purpose of this role is to attract,
recruit, and retain volunteers, and engage volunteers in contributing to the Black CAP’s mission to address HIV in Toronto’s
Black communities. The Coordinator works closely with management and staff to identify and fulfill volunteer requirements
and is responsible for all volunteer management planning and supporting the fundraising activities of the agency. In
addition, the Volunteer Coordinator is required to raise public awareness regarding the use of volunteers and services
provided by Black CAP.
We are seeking an individual with the following qualifications:
A certification in Volunteer Management/post-secondary education in a related field
A minimum of 2 years’ volunteer coordination experience
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, STIs and sexual health issues
Supportive of Black CAP’s mission, philosophy and the communities we serve
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Experience delivering workshops
Excellent written and verbal communication
This is a Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Executive Director. The position is subject to a 3 month probationary

The Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP) is a non-profit, community-based organization that serves Toronto’s
