Join us for a nice city walk, short Aquabus ride across False Creek, dinner at the beautiful Granville Island Market, and a hilarious improv show!

We'll walk from the hotel to the dock at the foot of Hornby street. It is a half an hour walk and relatively flat. Then ride the Aquabus across to Granville Island. We'll have dinner on Granville Island. The Market is open till 6:00pm with multiple dining options available. We can bring our food outside and enjoy the Granville Island waterfront or stay in and enjoy the market ambiance. It's cool place to checkout! And we'll aim to check out a couple of the neat Granville Island shops as we head over to the Improv Centre.

90 minute improv show - Rated PG. The show starts at 7:30pm and we need to arrive by 7:15pm. 

Return at the end of the evening for those walking will be via UBER/Transit/Taxi back to the hotel, paid individually by attendees. We can plan as a group when we're all together to talk about sharing taxis or transiting back.  

This event has a $30 registration fee so we can make our Improv Show and Aquabus group bookings ahead of time. The show and Aquabus fee will be covered in the event registration and will be booked by VMPC. Food at the Granville Island Market, drinks at the show, and transportation back will be paid individually by attendees.

We'll start with a 20 minute stroll through historic Gastown and Water St. Aiming to get to Guilt & Co a few minutes before their opening time of 6pm so we can get a spot for our group. 

Guilt & Co is first come first serve, no reservations. It's a great venue in Vancouver for live music with a unique atmosphere and dancing.

We'll do dinner or appies and networking at 6pm. Meals are approximately $20. Live music show starts at 7pm. We'll stay for snacks and drinks during the first live music show set, aiming to leave around 8:30pm.

We'll plan to walk back to the hotel together afterwards or can talk as a group about sharing taxi/Uber fees if desired.  

This event has a $0 registration fee. Thanks for registering for this event, we need to know how many people will be attending. Food, drinks and music at the venue ill be paid individually by attendees. Find the menu HERE.

How do I pay for the music?

Thank you for asking! To help compensate the incredible professional musicians entertaining you, we simply add $6 per person to your bill for every set you are in the audience for. As an example, two-hours of quality live music will cost you about the same as a glass of wine. 100% of those monies go to the artists and the live music program.

We think this is better than charging a larger fee at entry (cover charge) because you are only billed for the time you are here and listening to music. So you can plan your visit to be as short or as long as your budget allows.

Feeling fancy? Join us for a magical evening in the skies! We'll head over to FlyOver Canada at Canada Place for a 6PM viewing. Immerse yourself in landscapes, stories & culture from a perspective you’ve never seen. It's about a 10 minute stroll from the hotel to the beautiful Canada Place site and famous sails.

Then after the unique FlyOver experience we'll head over to Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant for 7PM dinner reservations. Stunning Continental award-winning fine dining at 553 feet (167m) with an unobstructed panoramic, one-of-a-kind view of Vancouver, the coastal mountains and the ocean. About a 10 minute walk from FlyOver and a 10 minute walk back to the hotel afterwards.

This event has a $35 registration fee so we can make our FlyOver Canada booking and dinner reservations. The FlyOver entrance fee will be covered in the event registration and will be booked by VMPC. Want to get out for a long walk and some exercise after conference while enjoying the beauty of Stanley Park and the Vancouver Sea Wall?

We will spend about an hour and a half walking trails in Stanley Park pausing to look at points of interest. Ending up at Stanley Park Brew Pub for dinner at about 7pm 

This event has a $0 registration fee. But thanks for registering for this event because we need to know how many people will be attending. A reservation will be made at Stanley Park Brew Pub by our event host. Attendees will pay their own tabs. Appies/ snacks from $7.  Mains, pizza, handhelds, salads range from $15-$25. We'll enjoy an after dinner walk back to the hotel. Those wishing to take a taxi are welcome to do so and we can talk as a group about sharing taxi/Uber fees if desired.
